The ASAM Career Center is an excellent resource, offering job postings (with modifiable search features) and an option for job-seekers to post their resumes.

The New England Journal of Medicine Career Center also offers resume-posting (after a free registration) and will email new job postings based on your search criteria (“Addiction Medicine” is the first specialty listed on the drop-down list).

USAJOBS.gov is the federal government’s site for openings. It’s comprehensive (with a list averaging a total 30,000 positions in all fields) and has useful search features, but can also take time to master. A tip sheet is available to ease the learning curve.

A variety of other employment sites are also worth trying. For example, one called indeed and another called SimplyHired both recently produced a lengthy list with detailed postings (many with direct links to the employers) in response to the search term “addiction physician.”
